A Passion for Community-Building
When AKA first met Janis Steele, she was just hired by the
City of Grandview, Missouri to lead the development of a new
community center. From the start of the project, two things
were clear. The City was looking to strengthen its strong
sense of community and to create a community-wide magnet. And,
that Janis would be a vital resource for the AKA/Gould Evans
team.
Opening in February 2004, Grandview Community Center
quickly became a popular community destination and an
